Suwalki, Poland – June 29

Posted by smr on July 2nd, 2010

Sorry for the lack of posts (Karen – you caused me to lose a bet…) but there was NO internet connection in Suwalki, we were in a remote area for our stay in Lithuania (remote is not an exaggeration, but it was BEAUTIFUL), and our internet connection here in Riga is not the fastest, but we are trying!

Suwalki was an amazing place!  The city is tucked into the northeast corner of Poland and it is a beautiful little city.  Dawid, our host, was a great tour guide and he made surethat every part of our visit was memorable!  We were able to walk to our HUGE and tasty meals, and back to the dormitory where we were staying.  We played a great concert in this town with a good audience.  Lots of CD sales and donations.  So far we are ahead financially on this trip – that’s a first (and Susan will be thrilled if this keeps up!).

AND Scherzando:

Before we left on Wednesday morning we had time to spend in the local market wandering aimlessly for about a half hour.  What a wonderful little piece of this great country!
