Czech Republic – Prague Airport

Flight notes: Pit to JFK was no problem until we arrived at JFK. It seemed like we must have landed in Newark and then taxied to JFK. Oh well, not much we can do about that.
Sat on the runway at JFK for the flight to Prague for about an hour and a half before taking off. Chaperones did a little dancing in the aisles while waiting and it helped to kill time. Arrived in Prague an hour behind schedule, but Mark, our bus driver, was ready for us and waiting. Took time at all to load the bus and be on our way.

Stopped in a little town called Velke Mezirici to change currency and did it. As a lump. Good move! Stopped at a road rest and had the choice of McDonalds, Subway, KFC, a gyro stand and a ho t dog stand. Also had a pizza

place. Nice roadside rest.

Weather – overcast mostly and currently raining rather hard with some lightning.

We arrived in Ratibor a bit before 7 and were greeted warmly by The Good News Bells, a short service of greeting and off to our host families for a restful night.

  1. Hey guys! Enjoy Katerinice. The people are amazing….the food is better (ask for knedleckis…..yummmmmmmm!) and give all of the kids a big BIG hug from me and tell them that I will see them in August. You will love it there!
