Day 2: Roznov

Posted by smr on June 14th, 2012

An 8 am meeting at the church was followed by a few stops to pick up kilts, shoes and music from the homes of those who forgot to bring them this morning. Then we were off to an open-air museum with several old wooden homes and working water wheel mills. We saw flour being ground, wood being sawed, material being felted and a forge. We've seen lots of these

in the past, but this is the first time seeing all of them work!

Lunch was fantastic and then we took a hike up the hill for some amazing views.

The view is breathtaking. I would have started singing “the hills are alive with the sound of music”. I guess that’s just one of the reasons I wasn’t invited.

  2. The wooden homes are beautiful. And I second the song. Enjoy your trip. Thanks for the great pix.
